  • Blimey Eric, I just checked when I first saw this vid - is it really two years since I met you here on Youtube? BBC7 are repeating some Al Read shows at the mo, as his stuff was mostly two-handers (both voices his, of course) you might be able to do a routune with your twin brother. My faves are the little boy in the waiting room, and the phone call to the hospital - "Have you taken any blood? Only we left a bottle of Ribena on the side..."

  • knobstick, hi Keith, thanks for posting. There definately seems to be wealth of Al Read's monologues out there. I like the sound of the Ribena one, I'll have to check it out. Take it easy, Eric.

  • Hello. I am becoming a great fan of yours, and wondered if you consider requests? I love your monologues, and wondered if you could perform an Al Read mono called 'Our Joe Wont be With us Much Longer'. I am asking not just cos I love this one, but I really think you would do it really well and do it great justice. I know you will love it if you have not heard it before. I could email you the words, or even the audio. Anyway its Al Read---Eeee, y'right monkey!

  • howardnwhite, hi Howard, thanks so much for your kind comment. I'm not familiar with the monologue you suggest but I'll try and find it on the internet. I don't want you to go to a great deal of trouble but if you have it already written out or can send me the audio that would be great. I'd have to listen to it first to see if it's for me. Incidentally, I worked with Al many years ago in panto. Did you know his family made meat pies? Cheers chum, Eric.

  • Your wife is very lucky, having a fantastic entertaining husband to make her laugh. I must applaud you on a fantastic performance yet again, Mr Storm.

  • You should have smacked her around the chops, the cheeky bint. You try your best, don't you? She's probably 'bunking up' with Charlie Evans. Send 'er to me; I'll Reeteritler one!

  • @prideparkheroes

Are you from the plant 'easily fooled' ? LOL

  • Leave it to Robb Wilton matey. You are about as funny as toothache. You insult his memory.

  • Thanks for response and it is no trouble. I can email the audio but I cant attach with youtube so I need an email address. I can send it asap if I have that. Yes I did know about him being a butcher. He gives me hope because I think he did not start the comedy till he was about fifty. Hope to hear from you.
