Springfield Illinois is a great town. Obama choose the Old State Capital because of the Lincoln historical aspect, and that is all. He has always been more loyal to Chicago, than Springfield.

Abraham Lincoln was the Sixteenth President 1861-1865 and those were the dates of the Civil War.
