Her voice is a stairway to heaven...if the angels do sing in heaven, they would sing like her. I love her arty materials she chose for her New Beginnngs album. But my all time favourite is her album called Winter of my discontent. Absolutely gorgeous and artistic ballads album.

So beautiful! Ms King's interpretation of "A Taste of Honey" is the best I've ever heard. Thank you so much for posting her "Desert Hush.". As a child I was exposed to all kinds of music--swing, be bop, blues, hard core jazz both vocal and instrumental, rock 'n roll, and yeah, even country. Now approaching 70, I find myself turning to jazz more so than all the other forms. Great song!

what can you say about this lady? a voice that can be charged with emotion or as light as a cloud, milking every nuance out of the lyric and making the song her own. now 80, we hear little from her. thank you for keeping the memory alive.
