@koosterveld Well, it wasn't entirely like that. Sega only secured the rights from id Software and GT Interactive to produce and publish the Sega Saturn port, and tasked Lobotomy to develop it. There was no exclusivity deal, it was just that this was the first console port done. After the Saturn release, Lobotomy started to port the game to the PS1, but in this case, they couldn't find any producer and/or publisher willing to release the game. And GT Interactive itself wasn't interested either.

almost 14 years now. it went down history because of the amazing graphics tech it had back then and a great multiplayer that made online 'fragging' and mods popular.

I can not save for shit it will save sometimes and sometimes it wont will some one help me do I need a new saturn is the battery dead or do I need a better memory card I just spent like 20 bucks on a back up thing what the hell ?

Sega paid Lobotomy and ID Software bigtime back then to make this game Saturn exclusive and to show the "true" Saturn potential ...

Depends how old you are, this game is almost 13 years old. But it was a milestone for first person shooters.
