LIVE from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York on November 30, 1990. The song Straight On is taken from the "Dog and Butterfly" album from 1978.

While penning their 1990 studio album, BRIGADE, the Wilson sisters became disenchanted with the keyboard-heavy pop sound featured on Heart's previous two records, as well as working with outside songwriters. On the ensuing tour, the sisters had turned their back on their late-'80s Top 40 hits, focusing primarily on their late-'70s glory period and material from their latest album. But for Heart's second live album, 1991's ROCK THE HOUSE LIVE!, the band decided to mostly showcase their recent direction (the rockers "Wild Child," "Night"), with just a few old gems such as the rapid-fire "Barracuda" and the tranquil "Love Alive" featured.

***LYRICS***
Quite some time, I been sittin' it out
Didn't take no chances
I was a pris'ner of doubt.
I knocked down the wailin' wall
Ain't no sin
Got the feel of fortune; deal me in

Comin' straight on for you. You made my mind.
Now I'm stronger. Now I'm comin' through
Straight on, straight on for you
Straight on for you.

Now I know I got to play my hand
What the winner don't know, a gambler understands
My heart keeps playin' it through
with you, my friend
I'll take my chances on you again and again...again.

Comin' straight on for you. You made my mind
Now I'm stronger. Now I'm comin' through
Straight on, straight on for you
Straight on for you

Repeat

  • i hope they come to the Coliseum next year..or Jones Beach again...aslong as i get to see them

  • there was a time I wasnt feeling well with a fever and this chorus was stuck in my heard for 4 days !!! I have all their first like 5-7 releases on LP ....I have this too ....FUCKING GREAT VOCALS!!! nice job!!!! - GB

  • @codeking32 ann yes, still has huge boobs

  • @hazor777 Yeah, but she still looks great even now!!

  • do you still ahve copy to sell ?

  • @WizardGlik really ? she did ?

  • Sadly, this was to be the last tour where Ann did the soundchecks nude.

  • @martinbill123321: YOu are correct ,sir !! -- They still had a decent "run" in the 80's, but they lost that "edge" IMO -- maybe it was the times (producers, recording styles etc..) who knows. BUt I always thought Roger added more of a "dangerous" element to their sound......guess he got a little too comfortable with dating Nancy & enjoying their success (aparently he "partied" too much & had a jealousy issue) - but hey, I would have prob. done the same, so who am I 2 judge?

  • @hazor777. When you say "the height of their career", your refering to the release of Dog and Butterfly, which contained Strait On, not this concert footage 12 years later, right? Hearing this clip makes me agree with you about getting rid of the original band members.

  • @Criosachille : she's still a looker, but only resembles the stunning beauty she was in her 20's - check out the 'Behind The Music' on Heart and the clips of her when they were doing the photo shoot for the 'Little Queen' album cover (video)- she was the epitome of beauty (IMO)-still beautiful, but older (aren't we all ,sadly)Crowe is a fool, is my guess

  • @hazor777 the market. right. like she's some kind of commodity. what's your bid? haha she's priceless

  • @alexmonger11 : Well now Nancy is back on the market (some 20 years too late) -

  • @hazor777 mark andes has said that he had a fling with ann

  • @babyj1996 : I can't remember if their 'Behind the Music' explains it or not, my guess would be that they had come to the end of their contract with whatever record co. they were under and the Wilson sisters may have seen it as an opportunity to renegotiate a contract with them as the sole song writing credit beneficiaries......that's my guess......it could have been from a serious decline in record sales when Grunge came on the "scene".......who knows

  • @hazor777 why did they get rid of mark and denny ?

  • The Wilson sisters should never have gotten rid of Howard,Mark & Denny-- this was the height of Heart's career......

  • LOVE IT!!!!!
