I weigh 225, did simple mods, and I can easily do 65mph. Installed larger jet, high perf exhaust, removed air box/installed air filter to the carb. I have 19,000+ miles. Only buy OEM parts from Power Parts Plus (Dirt Cheap). I ride it daily to work. Got stock Japanese rear lights on Ebay for $31.00. I installed a windshield and a basket at the rear for the 12-packs. Also installed a swivel cup holder for my coffee. I've owned a lot of bikes, but this has been the most reliable.

I was hoping to eventually try saving for the Buddy 150 because I like the style and color choice. How would you rate that one as compared to the 125 models?
I have also acquired $5,000.00 of credit through the local Yamaha dealer. So I've been having the problem of deciding between the 125 Vino, Zuma 125 or a Raptor 250 since that's what I can afford.
Choices, choices. x_x

I'm 200 lbs., 6'2". I get 60-65 mph easily on a straightaway. Living in a flat area it's ideal. If you have hills or need to exceed 60 mph more reliably, stick with larger engined bikes. If you're bigger than I am I don't think it would accellerate as well. But if you're going to go with a scooter, the Vino 125 or Genuine Buddy 125 are my recommendations for you. Good luck!

it'll go up to 60 pretty easy, although the frame is so small 50 feels incredibly fast. i live in the suburbs and have no problem getting on big roads and parkways. no interstate though.
unfortunately you lose a lot of pickup on uphills. a real steep hill you'll slow down to the 30s at full throttle. but that's really the only drawback, it's got pretty good power and the gas mileage is great. 70, 80+ mpg.

how fast does yours go. im a big motorcycle guy, but this seems like a more gas friendly way to get around town.

i love this vid! i have a black vino 125 2008. unfortunately, it has scratches. :( but this vid sums up how a vino owner is likely to end up feeling about the ride, the fast vino is a great vehicle.

Only minor scratches from regular use. I hope it stays that way. :)
