Once I got home, I sat down on my bed. There had to be a way out of this. I couldn't die! I was too young for Christ's sake! "Oh, stop being so stupid, Adrianna!" I yelled inwardly at myself, "The doctor knows what she's talking about! Either way, you're eventually going to die of this stupid cancer!" With that, I put my head on my pillow and started to cry.
*NEXT MORNING*
My alarm went off, in my opinion, much too early. I sighed, rolled over, and hit the snooze button, swinging my legs over my bed. I wandered over to my closet, and randomly selected my outfit...skinny jeans, dark green v-neck sweater, and big hoop earrings. That would work just fine. I hurried down the stairs, ate, and then went out to the bus stop, hugging my mom goodbye on the way out the door. As I stood in line, I grabbed a book.
???: "Hello Beautiful..." and then they wrapped their arms around my waist. I looked up from my book, and spun around, already smiling. "Hello handsome" I replied looking into Joe's amazing eyes with amusement. He raised his eyebrows. "Eh...I can live with that." He bent down to kiss me, but I pulled away. "What's wrong babe?" He asked, looking a little offended. "Well..the fact that we're standing in a bus line might have something to do with it...and the fact your brother is standing right behind you." I nodded toward Nick, who looked up, amusement. "Oh believe me," he said, "I'm used to it...what with Kevin and Joe..." Joe rolled eyes dramatically. "You and your weirdness." I smiled. "What can I say?" I laughed again. This time, he bent down again, and kissed me so quickly, that I didn't even have time to protest. I rolled my eyes. He smiled. "I'm gonna have to live through my whole day without doing that...don't make this harder for me." I laughed again, and then the bus came. I quickly climbed on, and snagged the seat next to Gisele. She raised her eyebrows as Joe squeezed into the seat behind her. After a moment, she spoke, "So...what's going on with you Adri? Didn't feel like turning on your phone last night?" I felt my face going slightly pink. "I, I, uh, well, I was busy." I finished, blushing even harder. Joe was laughing silently already, giving me a look. I turned even brighter pink. Gisele raised her eyebrows. "Ok...well, anyways....Oklahoma! Are you trying out? I really think you should Adri." I was shaking my head before she finished her sentence. "Gisele, I don't want to try out. And I'm not going to! There's no point, ok?" Gisele sighed. "Fine." At that point, the bus reached the school. I grabbed my bag, and stood up. Joe moved forward, so that he was standing next to me, and took my hand, his eyes twinkling with merriment. I laughed again. "No, I won't let go." I said, answering his unasked question. He smiled, the wonderful gorgeous breath taking smile that I loved. Gisele's eyes widened, and then she laughed out loud. "Oh...so, you were "busy" last night Adri?" She laughed again. Once we got into school, Joseph let go of my hand, and went to his locker. I went to mine as well. As we were walking by, I noticed a girl walking by, her eyes were a mixture of blue-green, and her hair was curly and blonde. I nudged Gisele. "Hey, Gisele, who's that?" I asked, curiosity gaining the better of me. Gisele turned her head...Gisele was the best person to ask if you wanted to know something about someone in the school, she always knew everything about everyone...I wasn't sure how she did it. "Oh, that's Sami." I tilted my head in confusion. "She's a new student, she just moved here from New York, she's single, and her parents are divorced, which is why she moved. She now lives with her mom, Danielle." "Gotcha." Someone rammed into Sami, causing her to drop all of her books. Everything simply went flying. I winced slightly, having been in that position before. After all, Isabella took it upon herself to ram into every random person she could. "Watch where you're going loser!" She snapped, glaring at Sami, with eyes filled with pure hate. Isabella, aka, Greenie, continued to walk forward. I walked over to the new girl. "Hi, I'm Adrianna." I said, bending over and helping her pick up her things. "Thanks," she said, shifting her books over to her right arm. "I'm Sami...I'm new here." "That's cool..nice to meet you Sami!" I smiled, and then turned and walked back towards Gisele. Feeling a bit better, now that I had helped someone so quickly in the day.
