G'day everyone, We still have not left Lot 3 Wentworth Street yet as not only have the brick layers finished completly but the plasterers are right into it as well so I have decided to have a quick look through the inside of the house so that you can see the part of the Home Building process which is the plastering stage. Part of the video shows the installation of cavity sliders and the fixing of plaster to those cavity sliders. Cavity Sliders can be a very effective tool in the home building process. They are great for areas where you have perhaps several door ways leading into each other and as the doors would swing open if they were hinged then they would hit. They are also good for robes if you don't have a lot of room to swing doors out into bedrooms etc. However it is important not to over use them and only look to use them where they are a more practical option than a swinging door. The reason for this is that they are dearer than a normal door that is hinged even after the door is hung. They also have a greater chance of issues later on as they simply have more moving parts with rollers and tracks etc, but overall I like them and use them when the situation requires, but not when the situation does not require. As usual should you have any questions about the process of building a house or about what you have seen in this video please send me an email at info@homebuildandrenobuddy.com and I will get back to you with an answer within 24 hrs. Cheers, your buddy, Dion.
