The Corys Before Sam's Concert--Part 6

Rachel tells Paulina and Jake that she doesn't want to be involved in this anymore. From now on, it's between Jake and Jamie. Paulina asks if that means Rachel won't even talk to Jamie for her. Rachel reminds Paulina that last year, everyone wanted Rachel to talk to Paulina about some of the choices she was making, and look what happened there; Rachel doesn't think she would be any more successful with Jamie now than she was with Paulina then. Jake leaves to go and check the equipment, and after he departs, Rachel asks Paulina if she's enjoying working for D&M. Paulina says it's all right and asks Rachel if Rachel thinks working at D&M is beneath Paulina. Rachel says no, she just thinks Paulina's talents would be better suited to a different environment. Then Rachel tells Paulina that she is thinking about acquiring the local television station and asks if Paulina would like to be a part of that. Paulina asks if that would mean she'd have to quit D&M. Rachel replies that she would be offering her a full position. Paulina declines because she thinks Rachel is only offering this to keep Paulina away from Jake. Paulina tells Rachel that's never gonna happen, and leaves. Hannah shows Iris and Hank to a table as she asks Iris who the hunk is. Iris tells Hannah it's none of her business. Hannah introduces herself and says she used to work for Hank's date; Hank introduces himself and says he used to work for Iris too. Iris sends Hannah away after Hannah asks how long Iris and Hank have known each other. Iris asks Hank to order her a beer, so he orders two, since he's ordering one for himself. Spencer watches them from the bar angrily. Roger Jackson greets Ada, who replies that she didn't recognize him without his whip and walks off. Amanda approaches Matt backstage and tells him she's really proud of him. Matt tells her he's nervous, and Amanda assures him everything will be fine. She thanks him for the way he and Lorna went out on a limb for Sam; she and Sam both appreciate it. Matt says he hopes Sam has what it takes to pull it off, because he doesn't want what happened to Dean to happen to Sam. Jake surprises Paulina with a single red rose. When she asks what it's for, he tells her it's for going to bat for him with Rachel. Paulina says she doubts it did any good, but Jake replies that Paulina stuck up for him and that means a lot to him, and then they kiss. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.
