Riot at Oi! Fest 2008 in Allentown, PA

A riot broke out at The Crocodile Rock during the first night of Oi! Fest 2008 that occured just before the final band, The 4-Skins played. It involved Racist Skinheads that were throwing empty beer bottles at people in the club. Most of the bottles hit the walls and floor, which coated the back floor with a layer of broken glass. It took the police several minutes to work up the courage to enter the club and break it up, even when people on stage and the audience were yelling at them to get in there and help.

Yeah either way it probably wouldn't have escalated to broken glass in people's faces if the bar had used plastic bottles. I can still see a fight going down without bottles, but it still sucks that it happened, especially for those that only had tickets the first night who were expecting to see The 4-Skins. I was fortunate to only have walked off with glass under my boots, I can only imagine the things that happened in the fight itself.

maybe if the 5 guys beating the one kid down into the table didn't start by cracking the first bottle over his head, the real skins wouldn't have thrown the first one in the air. But i still say, what the hell was the croc thinking giving out bottles? I havn't been to a show in years were glass was given out. They should have poured the drinks into solo cups.

For the record, I was at this show and the ass kisser trads and sharps started this fight. The KSS and Vinlander guys kept their composure most of the fest but were getting challenged to fights left and right. I am not WP but I sure as hell ain't no sharp.

hahaha well that was a good night! i remember it like it was yesterday. Funny thing is, all was kosher at the beginning of the show. a couple fights here and there but thats just our culture. the way i saw it? kids were getting jumped by boneheads... in the bathroom, the merch area, downstairs... 4 on 1, 5 on 1... it was fucking pathetic lol then word starting spreading around of a way to unmask silly boneheads from hiding in the crowds... song played, sieg hails shown, nazi bashing started...
