what happens behind them is no one's business. I don't care if you're straight, gay, both (bi), transgendered, whatever. With the church commment, I meant that if homosexuals want to get married, they can go to a judge for a civil union, a unitarian church, or ask an ordained friend. I'm not saying there should be Gay marriage in a Catholic church, because that would be imposing on the Catholic belief system. What people do behind closed doors is their business. By telling homosexuals that they can't get married, they're being excluded from things in society they shouldn't be. If someone pays taxes, follows the laws, contributes to society, why shouldn't they have the same freedoms I do? Doesn't this violate the constitutional right of being in the pursuit of happiness? All thoughts welcome.

Homophobia and racism are learned behaviors...as long as parents continue to push these views on their children there will be no end to it...disgusting and sad but true.

All men and woman are created equal and deserve the same rights under the constitution of the US. Until these religions stop preaching hatred towards their fellow man-THEY are considered the "sinners"-as THEIR God states "he loves all his children"-- I didn't realize their was a restriction on that..where did that come from?

The only thing that is bad about homosexuality is that it is still "controversial". I have homosexual friends, too and they are absolutely great people. Those people who call them "sinners" should look at themselves and better themselves and let others live their life.

Are you a psychologist? No. Do some people have a problem with gender identity? Of course. Your blanket statements and judgements of others doesn't follow the Bible I read. Could homosexuality be a preference? Think of the women you find attractive. Not every man is going to find the same women attractive, and the same goes for the opposite sex. using the same logic you have used to defend homosexuality such as the person is more than the label you put on them, does that mean Osama been laden is a good person? Homosexualtiy is a psychological disorder, and if you read the history it was a real condition in the medical books, the government and verious groups had it removed but it doesnt take away the fact that its what it is, you can call chizophrenia normal but its is still chizophrenia.

I have always figured that the requirement of having a license to be married was unconstitutional. Not only should the state not involved with who gets married or not, it cannot govern under church thought or concept. Once the state is involved with your marriage assets, it can be involved with all your assets, it's also very hard to unhook the state once it has melded. Remember this during tax season. Where does the bible say it's unlawful for a man or woman to engage in same sex relationships?
