  • He played this tempo exactly perfect in my opinion. Rubinstein's recordings still shock me on how well he played. I wish more pianists would take his view on playing... never rushing, and bringing out the full sound of each tone.

  • Best pianist ever. I hate some other pianists that sonud like cubist music or in the case of virtuosism, music for circus. THIS is how you play a piano. WITH YOUR SOUL.

  • Perfection. imo, Rubenstein is the best Chopinist who ever lived. He does my favorite movement of my favorite Sonata great justice. Wonderful!

  • This, my friends, is how it's done.

  • @CSPlayerDamon

Yes his birth name was ARTUR but he preferred to be known as ARTHUR in english.

  • A Very Satisfying performance. Rubinsteing really knows how to bring ALL of lifes disparities to a Transcendant, Glorious, Fulfilling Finale. What an amazing musical composition, and what an amazing interpreter Chopin had with Rubinstein.

  • Anyone else noticed how it's Artur in the picture?

  • brave!

  • Rubinstein owns this movement.

  • @TwelfthRoot2 exactly!!! that is the romantic spirit and aesthetic - somewhere in the 20th century it got lost.
