I think God made us all with specific talents and flaws that we may depend on one another and be depended on. We all have gems that can be mined and brought out to contribute to the greater good of the world and mankind. If only the gems are taken on their own terms and not diminished because of the things one may need a helping hand with, such as independant life and work. I would like to see neurotypical people show the superhuman concentration autistic people often have by nature.

God has given them other gifts. Even Einstein was said to be autistic. In our culture we just hide the disabilties of our children. We're ashamed of them. This mentality has to be changed. Treat them as human beings. Give them love and support. And they will flourish.
