Garlic and onion also work. The French are well into the garlic and butter for escargot. Gordon Ramsay likes them with bacon.

What they do with the snails - and I imagine it would work with slugs is that you have to put them on a fast before you eat them - to get rid of the poo and to keep from having to clean them. Also, just in case the slug has eaten something toxic. 1 day with nothing to eat but well watered, Day 2 with a carrot or apple or something like that. Carrot works well because then you can see it clearing their system. Fast them again. Then pop in the fridge to slow down their systems, then you cookthem.

Thank GOD you cooked it first. Those things carry a liver hook worm. Many ppl have ended up in the hospital for eating those things on a dare. I wouldn't eat one for a billion dollars!

If i planned on Eating them which i don't unless starving !, then i would dice, fry and add to some boiled rice with maybe some scrambled egg ! just a thought.
