http://RT.com AND http://www.youtube.com/RussiaToday More troops are realizing that, given that they join the military swearing to defend and support the constitution of the US, the part of the oath says they have to follow lawful orders. So by definition, the invasion and occupation of Afghanistan, since it happened without UN Security Council ratification, in fact this is not self-defense. It wasnt the nation of Afghanistan that attacked the US. So a soldier who follows a direct order to deploy to Iraq or Afghanistan is actually violating his own uniform code in military justice that says to follow lawful orders, says independent journalist Jamail.
Oh, there's the RT anti-American propaganda....

@MrStaglad what possible advantage could they gain from protecting the production of poppies?

The U.K. and U.s.a. are only there to protect the heroin. Every year for the last 8 years is a RECORD crop.

I'm living in America and I'm not apologizing about my government for this fucked up intrusion on a country. It's wrong as hell to illegally to be in a county but I haven't touched their soil or participated in such a bloody war. So I can't apologize, it isn't my job. WHAT THE FUCK IS THE US MILITARY DOING , GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE. IT'S THE UNITED STATES NOT EMPIRE. WHAT SOLIDER PARTICIPATED IN THIS. Omigod, this shit is going to hit the fan in the US few months. JUSTIFY THIS OBAMACUNT.

@Rangerfull3 I don't have to condemn my country; people like you are doing it. I try to convince you, and many men greater than me have tried to convince you to have a conscience and try to live peacefully with your neighbors. But you refuse to have it, you deny morality and you espouse only greed and self-interest. Well, have it your way, but there will be consequences, and you'll remember that you were warned. Only the Law and Truth can bring peace. Your social planning never has.

@melbyRick By me do you mean America? It seems as though you're condeming your own country..
Who's promoting democracy? The only one's who do are the U.S, and it's for financial gains, as you stated yourself.
Plus of course I've realized Empires don't last forever, the balance of forces show that pretty soon China and other countries are going to rise soon, but that wasn't quite on topic

@Rangerfull3 Okay pal. You go right ahead. But just remember; when you loot others, someday if they can, they will definitely loot you. You're not "promoting democracy" ... you're just helping to build spite and anger, and you'd better be ready for when it comes back to haunt you. Empires don't last forever, and if you're such an idealistic historian, you should know that by now. If you loot and terrorize your neighbor, expect the same. That's the world's oldest law. Good luck.

@melbyRick Someone's always profited, and it's the job of the soldier to make that possible, I'm not laying the burden on the individual soldier personally, but throughout history that's how it's always worked, we fought WW2 and came out twice as rich just after a Great depression, WW1 established us as a superpower, the Korean war stopped communism and spread democracy, which also helps us financially, we've grown to feel like we matter morally because of the media, but it's just BS

@Rangerfull3 If you appreciated us, you wouldn't be expecting us to die for some rich man's profit. And by acknowledging the immorality of war so easily, you have just pissed all over the idea of a free Republic and a nation of conscience. Well, if you don't believe in morality, and you don't think any of it matters, then just do whatever you want. But don't expect anybody to care. A society of apathy is a society that can only be ruled by tyranny and oppression. Have fun with that.

@melbyRick @melbyRick I appreciate those that serve the military, my dad retired as a Lt. Col and I plan on joining soon, but what I don't understand is when our own troops complain about "the endless, pointless war in Iraq", they run the risk of losing buddies or dying when they sign up. When has war ever had a point? Every war has political gain, we've grown to think that we should only go to war if it's meaningful, but there never will be.
