Afghan War Illegal - U.S. Troops Violate Oath to Constitution

So by definition, the invasion and occupation of Afghanistan, since it happened without UN Security Council ratification, in fact this is not self-defense. It wasnt the nation of Afghanistan that attacked the US. So a soldier who follows a direct order to deploy to Iraq or Afghanistan is actually violating his own uniform code in military justice that says to follow lawful orders, says independent journalist Jamail.

Who's promoting democracy? The only one's who do are the U.S, and it's for financial gains, as you stated yourself.

Plus of course I've realized Empires don't last forever, the balance of forces show that pretty soon China and other countries are going to rise soon, but that wasn't quite on topic

You're not "promoting democracy" ... you're just helping to build spite and anger, and you'd better be ready for when it comes back to haunt you. Empires don't last forever, and if you're such an idealistic historian, you should know that by now. If you loot and terrorize your neighbor, expect the same. That's the world's oldest law. @melbyRick Someone's always profited, and it's the job of the soldier to make that possible, I'm not laying the burden on the individual soldier personally, but throughout history that's how it's always worked, we fought WW2 and came out twice as rich just after a Great depression, WW1 established us as a superpower, the Korean war stopped communism and spread democracy, which also helps us financially, we've grown to feel like we matter morally because of the media, but it's just BS

And by acknowledging the immorality of war so easily, you have just pissed all over the idea of a free Republic and a nation of conscience. Well, if you don't believe in morality, and you don't think any of it matters, then just do whatever you want. But don't expect anybody to care. @melbyRick @melbyRick I appreciate those that serve the military, my dad retired as a Lt. Col and I plan on joining soon, but what I don't understand is when our own troops complain about "the endless, pointless war in Iraq", they run the risk of losing buddies or dying when they sign up. When has war ever had a point? Every war has political gain, we've grown to think that we should only go to war if it's meaningful, but there never will be.
