Jared Gillespie is the real deal! He is a compact explosive cornerback with the mentality of a middle linebacker. He is very quick to the ball and has good technique. Led his team in interceptions with an average of 3 per year since his sophomore year. That's right, Gillespie is a starter since his sophomore year. He plays 4AAAA ball at St. Paul Johnson where they have been in contention for the Section and Regional championships since the arrival of Gillespie. This kid has a knack for finding the ball. A natural born defensive back with mal intent. Great combination for a kid that will play at the next level. Seems to be a carbon copy of ex- Gopher and Current Pittsburgh Steeler DB Tyrone Carter.
