@iamahipo1 yes, Eric is leading the whole song in an open G tuning, the song's key, and is able to do all the riffs and solos, while Duane is in an open D and plays the rhythm, as it's very uneasier to play the riffs in G with all the open strings that Eric can play....

This is one of greatest versions of this song ever. I think it was recorded when the Layla album was recorded, 1970. It is included on the box set of Layla. Great song. Thanks for posting.

@FaithIlene Its the release year of the album The Blues. i don't have any information when the records were made exactly but most of the stuff are outtakes from the 70's
