  • JPG = lossy

    PNG = Lossless

    There you go.. Now google what lossy and lossless is

  • PNG's are great. Love the transparency and you can get the file size down quite a bit using the right tools, plus the image quality is great in png. Gif?.... haven't found a use for them since the old days of animated "under construction" pics lol.

  • i use .PNG for editing photo´s because if u use ".jpg" u got the shadows. But i use .jpg for forum because it loads faster.
