19. Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy upon us.

20. Grant us peace.

*Zelenka's "Missa votiva" was written as the fulfillment of a vow he made upon recovering from a severe illness in 1739. The autograph inscription on the cover of the score reads 'Vota mea Domino reddam. Psal: 115. Versu 5...'. The fifth verse of psalm 115 is 'vota mea Domino reddam coram populo ejus' (I will pay my vows to the Lord, before all his people).

Wonderfull music but strange sound, too fast - effective but grotesque. It is a mass??? It is Zelenka???

If you like this beautifully appealing music try some of Freider Bernius's Zelenka recordings with his Kammerhor Stuttgart. I do not think that this choir is Kammerchor Stuttgart, although they are certainly very good!

This is truly beautiful, I can hear each instrument with such clarity and the choir's tone is very warm!
