and I was talking about he animation itself, where there's practically none! There was more gradients and layer opacities and modes set to this thing then then there was actual animation.

Girl, If I wanted to I could. It's called 3d, maya, textures, zbrush, special effects, get those caustics right and follow the research paper pixar has that very few people actually know about.
