I'm not a Democrat! I'm not a Republican! I'm an Independent and I simply call a spade, a spade and a joker, a joker. With that said the problems in America are both Democrats and Republicans fault and these problems in America are not just the past 8 years problems but 40 years in the making problems. We are reactive to this problem now when we should have been proactive to it long before now than instead of really being proactive and dealing with it properly we passed a naive ineffective bailout that many economists said won't solve the problems and low and behold they were smarter than both the Democratic and Republican party as well as both Presidential candidates.

Our government needed to intervene but not the way they did it. The bailout didn't solve the mortgage crisis which will go for another year or two unless a permanent solution is made. you are right about Clintons and the Republicans but at the same time that was considered good years for America. The reality is John that we need a Congress that is proactive and a President that is Proactive. We don't need band-aid solutions that last five or ten years or a couple of months but we need cement solutions that can last at least 40 plus years if not more.

Democrats and Republicans share in America's success as well as failures. We can't continue to point the figure. That's why we as a people cannot be blindly loyal to one of these major political parties but we must be loyal to the people and find as well as elect candidates that have the best interest of the people regardless of their political affiliation.

Put the people first and watch America progress and truly become pro-active rather than re-active.

We were born Americans not a political party first and foremost. Secondly, we must believe in forward moving, progressive thinking policies but if you think about many of Democratic and Republican Party policies are recycled failed policies that failed several long years ago. Second is it progressive when most of the people in Congress average is 45 or higher but there are more youth in America than any other age group. Our U.S. Congress, both the House and Senate is suppose to represent the make up of America but their are still less minorities (Blacks, Hispanics, Women, Asians, Muslims, etc.) in the Congress than the actually make up of the American population. That's not progressive to me and that's not progressive thinking policies when those policies have left out the underprivileged, less fortunate and urban America.

America is not about blue or red. It is about the red, white and blue. We're Americans first. We need to stop trying to be loyal Democrats and Republicans and start being loyal Americans that's the American way, that's the American dream. Our founding fathers were not Democrats or Republicans, they were Americans and they should it in their actions and the way they governed. They never wanted political parties and I can see way now because political parties divide Americans, not unite us. Individuals unite Americans but political parties divide us into thinking that one party is better than the other but we should be thinking about which candidate is better than the other. Which candidate is going to implement policies that are right for all people not just Democrats or Republicans but Green Party members, Libertarian Party members, Tax Payer Party members and true independent people like me.

Time and time again we talk about which party is better or I'm a Democrat or Republican but what does that mean when you see neither party truly looking out for the American people but looking out to simply gain a larger majority in the House and Senate. I'm from Detroit, a large Democratic city but the facts are this, in the State House and State Senate, I don't see the Michigan Democratic Party and the Democratic Governor of my state trying to bring jobs to the city of Detroit or trying to help the education system. Instead they care more about helping the UAW unions and making sure they agree with every piece of legislation they pass before going forward with it.

People if you only knew how corrupt both parties are than you will join me in simply saying I might be a Democrat but I refuse to just vote for a candidate because he's a Democrat. That's the facts of the matter. We can't continue to vote alone party lines but we need to vote alone Patriotic lines and elect the best candidate for the job regardless of his political affiliation. If is one thing that I want to see from President Barack Obama is for him to challenge the status quo of the Democratic Party even further and truly shake it up to meet the needs of the people.

I'm proud to an American with the rest of America and the sooner we realize that we're American's first and foremost and all else second than you will understand that we can make a difference by being united and loyal to America and the American people not a political party.

  • Vote for Ron Paul! Vote Libertarian!

  • Truth, Responsibility, and Problem Solving wins by a huge margin.

  • good shit.

  • You deserve to be a leader of the Country! Everything you said I absolutely agree with.

  • That's right man. It's not about team red or team blue. It's about America. The political party system advocates ignorance and accusatory rhetoric. Both of which are harmful to the people. We're really already all on the same team anyway. Everybody has been conditioned to take the red team blue team rhetoric serious. It's not though. It's like if you created sub political parties. Everybody would still belong to the same party. Same way with the Republicrat party. It's the sam old party!!!!

  • i voted McCain(sorry) and Bush ended up pissing me off. Obama is a wolf in sheeps clothing. Both parties are tax, $ hungry and you are right! both parties do not have our best interest at heart . I have always been Republican due to some religious beliefs and less govt. I now, do not like either party. Yes, we DO need another solution. Black , white, purple - i don't give a sh**, 5 cabinet mbers of our Pres. ALL are in tax fraud. Even our own US Treasurer. and WE want HIM to run our $!?

  • AMEN brother!! WE THE PEOPLE are no longer represented by EITHER party!! When 80% of America says no to bailouts, NO to illegal immigration , YES to enforcing our border by building fencing and MINING it if necessary and our CURRENT BOZO's go against the PEOPLE, then it's time to either vote em out or by armed revolution, take back OUR government!!

  • I'm glad I Didn't vote for either party, even though I'm libertarian, I Voted for constitution party last year.
