Now after having The Google Nexus One For 48 hours and finally understanding Android OS (Direct Jump from Symbian Series 60 3rd Edition) I have started experimenting with some of the apps I downloaded from Android Market...

The "Google Goggles" totally kicks ass...

I just hope that they don't evolve to such a state wherein they can scan a human being's face and find out who all that person has dated in the past :)

  • to me, nexus one, droid eris, are the same phone...and i hate the text messaging keyboard....it sucks. i have big fat man fingers. you sound like my landlord. please on your next video, say "when are you going to pay me?" lol

  • Version 2.1 of android is aimed towards using all communication via "voice recognition", so that physical keyboard/virtual keyboard isn't used that often, although my accent is barely understood by the speech synthesizer :)

If i remember i will ask that question in my next video :)

  • hey did u try scanning ur face? maybe ur facebook or twitter will pop up :O

  • face recognition doesn't work yet....i honestly don't want this feature....i don't want random people coming and taking my picture and finding details about me :)

  • do you know if droid eris is still getting the version 2.1 update? i have i believe 1.6 or 1.8, at anyrate, my keyboard sucks. i picked the eris over the motorola, because the motorola looks cheap, and the reviews ive seen, people actually prefered the eris over that. I couldnt find google goggle either...but i just learned how to send a text message with my voice...i like it, but its to many steps.

  • stay cool man..... hah

  • luv ur accent <3

  • Ah ok, N95 had a great camera though, better than N97's.

I suggest heavy lighting - maybe lamps around the objects you photograph at home, just so you can test the goggles.

Looks like they work fine though, just the flash caused some interfereance.

  • My current impressions about the picture and video of nexus one compared to Nokia N95 is way too down...I hope their upcoming firmware versions can take care of it...since i took the pic indoor turning off the flash would barely make it visible...

  • This is an obvious answer, I think he overlooked it, can he not turn off the flash ??
