Ted Mann, the Digital Development Director for Gannett NJ, and founder of InJersey.com-- interviewed about his presentation on the Citizen Journalism panel at the South Jersey Call to Service Summit held March 16th at Stockton College in Pomona, NJ. The Citizens' Campaign is leading a Jersey Call to Service, a new public service campaign to inspire 5,000 citizens to participate in the leadership of their communities. One way NJ citizens can answer the call, is to become Citizen Journalists-and write about politics and government for hyper local websites. More and more, there is no local reporting on local government, and Citizen Journalists are needed to inform and engage the public. The Citizens' Campaign offers a free online class in Citizen Journalism, and places like InJersey.com will publish your work.
