Lincoln was a dick who did more to centralize the power of government than any president before and possibly since. I wish they would teach all the terrible crap he pulled along with the good he did so people stopped making him to this folk hero.

I want to work so I can of course consume, but I do my best to consume in such a manner to support other Americans and keeping them working too.
If I do not work, I do not pay taxes, and I am only a drain on those who are still working. I am still young, I have not yet earned the right to retire and I am still able bodied and I rightly do not deserve aid for disability.

This is so correct: Buy American keeps Americans working so THEY can continue to consume. If everything is Buy Chinese like it is now, Americans lose their jobs, they cannot consume anymore, and thus, they cannot even BUY CHINESE!
Bottom line, SOME protectionism is neede, but not protectionism like Smoot-Hawley. Limited protectionism but also limited international trade as well, IT MUST BE FAIR AND BALANCED OUT

Trade is base on a product you dont have apples for bannans ext. not for thngs you do have. Free trade is a race to the bottom thinkng slave labor no environmental standards turn a blind i unsafe product thinkers These are the same people who buy blood diamonds.child forced labor products to save a dollar .. Hypocrites are what they are. Fair trade is trading with countries that have similar human rights and standards and wages. When you BUY AMERICAN we know most of these demands are met
