@AlexB1001 I see them as proof of that prehistoric animals could have evolved something simililar :) I know they aren't part of the direct lineage ;)

@jbkgjbkg Well not quite, it is a possible sister group of the amphibians. So though it can provide powerful clues as to what the 'missing links' between fish and amphibians may have looked like (it has a lung, and can rotate its pectoral and pelvic fins to walk on land), it is not actually part of the direct lineage between them. Which is probably what you meant, but not what the person you were replying to meant! :)
