Attending the IPMS con at the Phoenix Convention Center, August 7th, 2010 with my friends Kevin and Brian. We took the light rail to the convention center downtown. After getting the mark of the beast in order to enter the dealers' room and conduct business, one of the first shops I find is Rare-Plane Detective and I totally geek out! I was very impressed with this store, as I was not anticipating finding many Japanese models at the con at all. I've been to so many model shops in Japan, but Rare-Plane Detective had models I've never seen before in Japan. Rare finds, and quirky kits! Check out the Nazi R2-D2! I'm glad that Youtube has extended their file limits to 15 minutes!

  • where is gundam! damn it!

  • @MrArning Just keep watching. There's some gundam stuff in these videos. Especially check out my IPMS Loot video to see the Gundam models I bought from this store.

  • Star Warrior? Never heard that before. Haha Walker gunner!... gotta love the knonk off! I remember lesmen from the anime. Your surprise there anime at the show, I'm shock to shit here. There was less then .001% at the Moqusitocon show. Naiz Droid rules!

So yo know that is the McDonnell XP-67, also known as the Bat.

  • @stryderprime I've watched your videos of the New Jersey IPMS Mosquito Con, and I didn't see much Gundam/anime models at all. The guy who ran this booth, from Rare-Plane Detective, goes to Mosquito Con and he buys up a lot of the quirky Japanese models from a dealer there. That would explain the higher prices, since they're marked up for resale. Still, some of these are very unusual finds for me, and I go to Japan every year. The Laputa, Nausicaa, and Lensman kits were awesome finds.

Oh wow I remember those gunpods. I just saw the dressen, I wish that can be made as a master grade. Am I reading this right Tigershark fighter for Yamato cost $79! I can get this kit for around $15-25 on ebay. Hold it what was that aircraft carrier you just pulled down. I can see there are alot of japanise kits I have never seen before. Lot of $3 kits on sale!
