2009 Education Hero: Miguel Baldoni

Miguel Baldoni, a science teacher at the MACSA Academia Calmecac Charter High School in San Jose, has inspired
his students, pushing them to achieve more and have greater expectations than they thought possible and motivating them to pursue higher education and a better future.

American Red Cross Silicon Valley Chapter's 3rd Annual Real Heroes Breakfast on May 8, 2008 recognized acts of heroism by 9 local residents who were nominated by the public and selected by a group of community leaders because they went above and beyond the call of duty to exhibit a true act of selflessness, and their heroic acts embody the principles and ideals of the Red Cross humanitarian mission.
