What the devil is a burlington? It sounds like a hideous disease. Oh I had one of those Kodak instamatic cameras I was about 11. I never even cared how crappy it was all I know is it shot in color and I was overjoyed.
John's being rather foolish--his argument makes no sense! First he says to Helen (when she insists that he buy Lydia's Christmas present): "You've always bought my present to Lydia...why break tradition?" Then when he's in the tavern with his friend, he complains to him that "Women have taken over Christmas." Well, which is it? If John felt women (e.g., his wife Helen) were taking over Christmas, I'd think he'd be more than eager to buy Lydia's Christmas present!
loved this show, it was very original and ahead of its time. why didn't they just try it in a different time slot rather than cancel it. it was an award winner. thanks for posting this show.
The series, a celebration of just about everything James Thurber touched upon in his books and stories, aired on Monday nights at 7:30pm(et), just before "ROWAN & MARTIN'S LAUGH-IN". But CBS' "GUNSMOKE" got a bigger audience- and despite winning an Emmy as "Best Comedy Series 1969-'70", the network cancelled it after 26 episodes.

The audio is out of sync with the video. Would this problem be difficult to fix?
I liked this shiw.
Cancelled. But what do you expect from the same IDIOTS that cancelled "Star Trek" ???

I think I watched every episode (age 7) in 1969/70 when it was on. BTW that Santa sounds a lot like the voice of Fred Flintstone.
