I don't quite understand the abuse the 5200 gets from some quarters. I and my friends loved this system. I never had one, but I was terribly jealous of my friends who did. Realsports Football for the 5200 was a killer sports game for its time and we played with a passion.

The whole history of video games was blissful, first of all in the late 1970's people thought video games were just a fad, before the market crash of 1983-84, people thought that video games were an endless source of profet, once the crash happened many people thought that the video game market would never recover

rofl. Seeing these commercials again just makes me think how blissfully unaware people were then to see how far Video games would go.

Atari's RealSports series was just another way that Atari could resell old games...and it worked pretty good too.
