About two weeks ago i finally played mouthbow for the first time and was happy to use it for our concerts here in Poland.
I bought it at the Festival Le Reve de Aborigene in Airvault, France from Jean Philippe Minchin www.atelier-eo.com
This overtone instrument is amazing. It belongs to the oldest instruments in the world, Cave paintings in France showing bows are used as instruments dating back more than 15000 years.
It is said that in these days music was a tool for communication before real spoken language was used.
This small clip was recorded by Kat at the Place of Slawek and Isa in Kozienice during a break on our Poland Tour with Bashir Mirzo in 2009.

Interesting instrument! I came across one very similar to it, an ayahuasca shaman from Peru said the spirits taught him how to make it and communicate with them.

I played that instrument back when I was a neanderthal. Good times, good times. Oh, and for Thag the Gatherer, Tok, Nuk-Nuk, nameless Pete, and all those other guys - thanks for the laughs! I would never have made it through the Cro-magnon age without you!
