  • Does Plaths poetry translate well into Greek? I cant see how, as its so onomaetopeoic..like 'creel of eels' etc...just wondered

  • it's not the same as the birth language of each poem.You can't adapt easily some words or expressions.Always poems are better to read in their language

  • Assia was a characterless woman..not worthy of any sympathy! Not a good wife, not a good mother..shameless woman who capitalized on her so-called beauty immorally.

  • the exact words might not, but, given a basic understanding of the English language, the emotion and tone of some of Plath's poems comprise the very definition of Greek tragedy.
