They made it so you only have 8 spaces for the reason that on every other console RTS, it is the precision and complicated microing that they try to port that makes the RTS so frustrating. Having 8 spaces is an easy way to eliminate this frustration.

I agree that halo war wars is not a very good game but i also disagree with most of your complaints the fact that your base only has 8 spaces forces resource managment and to seek other bases which i do not find an bad gameplay design and as with the squads i have made them befor it just requires you to make them unit specific i feel halo wars biggest downfall is its repetitive nature

Ya i dont like the eight spaces because im used to have unlimited spaces with other RTS
