It's all about vapor pressure. You can't just pump mo gas into an aircraft unless you're planning on flying below 6000ft ish. One of the reasons why we use 100LL is because it does not boil above 6000ft. The vapor pressure of 100LL is lower than that of ordinary gasoline. Also, lubrication etc octane are other reasons too.

There is no such thing as an "efficient fuel", only efficient means of converting the energy stored in fuel. And lead particles do nothing nothing to increase fuel efficiency; the lead in avgas is there for increasing the octane value and for lubrication of valve components. The usable energy in leaded and unleaded fuels is about the same. Most piston aircraft are fine on unleaded fuel, except for the higher compression ones requiring the higher octane provided by 100LL.

@PDZ1122 Try a Chemistry book... I have no idea what Fuel Efficiency has to do with most Physics.
-
@ChuckSFP Increase efficiency 4 tines?? Where did you hear that utter nonsense? Go read a book on physics.

@fuelban Leaded fuels have lead atoms in them that increase the fuel efficiency almost 4 times... but they banned because it they think it hurts the environment... the effects are dubious. However, in planes any effects would be negligible anyway.

seriously guy, explain this differential in this fuel to me...

I flew to Rhodesia in the 1950s in machines like that behind you, remember wind pockets..... I do. !
