  • Ah San Francisco, the second best city in the US.. Boston is the best !

  • Remember, it's "rice and beans", not "beans and rice".

  • where in San Francisco was the famous rice-a roni commercial filmed? It always shows it at the top of a hill.

  • The entire city is hills ...

  • cool

iby the way what are the other 5 flavors

  • Jefgg, you are right about "Frisco" You will get your ass kicked out if you use that phrase. We hated it. "San Fran" was not much better. It was always San Francisco if you were outside the Bay Area or it was refered to as THE CITY if you were in the Bay Area. We were kind of snobs about the Frisco thing. I still can't stand to hear my favorite city being referredt to that way. Sounds vulgar, don't know why.

  • I lived in San Francisco from 1981-2001. I still remember Rice-A-Roni being adverstised on the backside of just about every Cable Car, but I never recall the product being a San Francisco favorite. I loved the stuff, but I never saw anyone make it at home or serve it in restaurant.

  • i love rice a roni... what a great treat.

  • Who has any R-A-R commercials from the 1960s and 1970s?

  • @granger18trains let's just remember which one was built on rock n roll

  • @HildebrandJohnson My bad. I usually just abbreviate it as SF.

  • @Jefgg They also don't spell it "San Fransisco".

Rice-a-Roni was invented and, at least originally, manufactured in San Francisco.

  • A friend moved to San Fransisco. She said she didn't notice more Rice-A-Roni being consumed. She also said they don't call it Frisco.

  • @granger18trains St Louis is the best.
