  • Where did you get the tin? Was it pre bought or completely made by yourself?

  • the origional tin was a prebought kit however in my opinion most will need items to be added and be modified... adding tinder, lighter, flashlight etc. in terms of the tin you can buy tobacco tins, mint tins or they may be available from a surplus store. if you wanted o buy a prebought kit 'adventure medical kits' do premade kits or try google search

    cheers scott

  • also if you are interested i will be posting an updated version and my new survival tin shortly

    scott

  • hey cheers for the advice. I am upgrading it atm and intend to add that to the kit. Im going to remove the whistle and f.light and have that on a neck chain and add a stock cube, salt, nail clippers and the zip lock bag. When i do ill add the vid. Thanks again =)

  • this isnt my complete kit, im currently modifying several of my kits and left 1 or 2 items out. I will be adding these to my updated version and videoing that.

  • Fire strikers, in most cases, are not nearly as useful as a small bic style lighter. The lighter IS a flint and steel, but it actually produces fire. You can light a small one over 500 times and when the fuel is gone, like I said; flint and steel. It also has the benefit of being a one-handed use item. I've spent the better part of my 37 years in the 'great outdoors' and I usually only use a flint striker to feel rustic or impress ladies ;) Go with the lighter for $1.

  • I want that knife!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • in stead of the lighter i would add a fire steel takes up less room

  • nice kit man. now all u neeed to do is put in in good use. and i would reccomned wrapping some fishing line around you lighter or somethin and throw in a few hooks and weights and a little rubber lure

  • i would recommend a bic mini b/c sometimes lighters like that will freeze. not that a bic wont it just takes longer for them to

  • where di you get the wire saw???

  • Great kit....well done...
