Nona Hendryx was the queen of the NYC club scene during the early 80's. Caught her show at the Paradise Garage, The Ritz (currently Webster Hall),and the China Club (currently under construction as another Condo). To those of us in our twenties- then, she was "old and sexy" for she was in her forties. Club goers quickly learned upon withessing her show, that age was just a number.
