I think you are over-categorizing this. Nobody is skeptical about the biblical events because they are strong or weak atheists, but because they maybe see too many inconsistencies within the religion, or (like me) know that theism was invented to explain events that could not be explained back then, but proven wrong by science nowadays.
Whatever the reason, being a strong atheist or a weak one does not influence how we act. They are the results of our way of thinking, not the cause.

The bible is a way of coping with the world before science had evolved enough to give answers now we don't need the bible to sleep at night so just chuck it out. It causes more wars and kills more than it saves.

@ruairidh999 If that were true then why is science just now discovering things that Christianity has preached about for 100s of years? Such as the universe had an ultimate beginning, and in the beginning, there was light (radiation)? Sounds like Christianity is way ahead of science.
