@tsumarinegirl I don't have kids either but i still listen to this song b/c i relate it to my own personal situations its a beautiful song :)..i'm happy your hubby made it back safe & sound i have many family members in the military

I guess I view this song a little differently. I listened to it each and everyday my husband was in iraq. We dont have kids, but the message of staying strong while he was away is what this song gave me. It reminded me that even if he never came home I would have him in my heart forever. I am fortunate that he did come home and wont be going back but i still love this song and listen to it often.

At work listening to this with HUGE crocodile tears.... : ) but crying that this woman does not have more views, I dislike the fact that India Arie is not as BIG as other artist because she is not prancing around half naked or a barbie, Im upset that good music such as this is becoming extinct.... I could go on for days but i have to get back to work!

I wish i could have had someone tell me that my daddy was a good man. Only thing i know about my father is that we look and act alike. My father has no ideal im alive, im 30 now. My mother told him she was pregnant she had already had a one year old and didnt need another kid, she told him she was going to get rid of it. He didnt agree and told her no, but soon after, she left the state and made the choice to keep me. lost contact....SAD!! My daddy was or is a good man, he wanted to keep me.
