How many farm boys end up being radio talk show hosts? County raised boys like me get stuff done, and don't waste time talking about it.

Being country does mean growing up in country.. City people don't know about it, thats for sure. It aint about what you wear or what you drive. Its about growing up working the land.. Be able to survive without a grocery store.. looking for miles and never seeing anything man made.. and especially not caring about whether someone calls you "country" or not. People seem to be mixing well mannered and country up.. Not that it really matters.. It just gets old..

If we all took the kind of attitude like what the song is about I think we'd all live in a better world.
-
@Lind2422 Your exactly right I'm a farm boy but i agree that you don't need to be born in the sticks or working on a farm any of that!

greatest line ever "if it were up to me i'd love to see this country run. Like is USED to be, like it aught to be, just like its done"
Ron Paul 2012
Being country doesn't mean you were raised out in the sticks or worked on a farm. It is a way of life. I have lived in the city my whole life, but I guarantee that I can still fit in with the country crowd. It's not about boots, or trucks. Although I prefer both over sandals and a luxury car. It's about being respectful, working hard, and always being there for anyone in need.

country isnt wearing camo and boots , drinkin, dippin and having a jacked up truck. Its growing up the american way. learn your manners, values and to say yes ma'am. Its waking up before the sun rises and working your ass off till it goes down. probally none of y'all even milked a cow, rode a horse or harvested crops. I live in wisconsin, on a farm. yep hunting, fishing, farming and hangin out with some buddys around a bonfire with some jack d and grizz green on a friday night is the life up here
