How To Get Gum Out of Hair (or Silly Puddy)

Many people don't know WHY peanut butter works to get gum or silly puddy out of your hair. It's because of the oil. The peanut butter has oil in it, so that makes it stick to the gum or silly puddy. As you rub the peanut butter onto the gum or silly puddy it dries it out and breaks it down and it starts to fall apart.

Gum and silly puddy is hydrophobic, meaning it's afraid of water. Water simply won't work at all. If you are going to try water you might as well get the scissors out and cut off the hair.

My 2 year old woke up with silly putty in his hair this morning. I found this video and used vegetable oil. It worked great and we are silly putty free!
