The Doctor explains transdimensional engineering to Leela. From episode 1 of "The Robots of Death."

(I know the Beeb already has the first part of this clip up on their channel, but I uploaded this mostly for the extended shots of Four's awesome TARDIS interior, which makes its last appearance in this serial.)

  • "Bigger on the inside" explained - that makes so much sense

  • @whobp8 His last statistical estimate was no better than his previous. It is easy for him to be cavalier about the hostile intentions of others, when he gets to regenerate upon death.... 9 times out of 10.

  • this tardis is awesome.. love the interior

  • @PeeboTyson Leela brought the energy weapon on board when she entered the Tardis for the first time in the previous story. The Doctor himself obviously realizes that his statement about people not trying to hurt him isn't really accurate, hence the nine times out of ten qualifier

  • The actress wears red contact lenses to make her naturally blue eyes dark brown.

  • the power to maintain that sort of relative distance corelation in such a close proximity would be so massive it would begger the human imagination, but then again the tardis is fueled by the core of a black hole so transdimensional technology could be very possible for aliens but, not human beings.

  • If Dr. Who never carries weapons, why did he have one on the Tardis?

Also, regarding the bit about if people see you mean them no harm, they never hurt you, yeah no one ever tries to harm The Doctor. That's just preposterous.

  • This was the first 4th Doctor story I ever watched on VHS, on a christmas day I think. Making his 'hmm' line at 0:10 the first ever time I heard the iconic Tom Baker's voice! I find that pretty freaky.

  • Did you notice Matt Smiths Jacket on the hat stand?!?
