Occupy Oakland protesters are homeless after police cleared out their encampment Monday. Dozens of police in riot gear took down more than 100 tents and made 32 arrests. An Oakland Police spokeswoman says the tent area is now a crime scene and protesters must stay off the campsite. This is the second time the protesters encampment has been cleared. On October 25th officers used tear gas and bean bag projectiles to clear the encampment. But this time protesters appeared to put up little resistance and officers could be seen calmly leading some demonstrators away in plastic handcuffs. The weekend saw police clearing operations in Portland, Oregon; Salt Lake City and Denver as well as threats of action in other cities if protesters did not clear out on their own.
