  • I think M*A*S*H came in a close second for the booziest show on TV!

  • A Madison Ave. ad executive? Darrin was making bank!

There was always a new Chevy in the driveway, too - but that's because Chevrolet was one of the key sponsors.

The way they got Larry Tate to drive a Chevy was to put him in Corvettes, while Darrin usually drove Chevelles, Impalas and Camaros, depending on the vintage of the episode.

  • @travis7310 Me either

  • @palsee - Did you see the size of some of those booze glasses that Endora would drink from? She also made a marijuana reference in a 1968 episode, when she asked Phyllis Stephens if her cookie recipe was an Alice B. Toklas recipe!

  • @OldsVistaCruiser Darrin had to be making mad cash, how else could he have such a hot wife.

  • weird

  • @olddude521 - Believe it or not, Dick Sargent (his spelling) was the first choice as Darrin Stephens (not Stevens - their spelling and mine as well)! He was busy on another project and was not available.

    Bill S.

  • @OldsVistaCruiser No. MASH has got to be #1 with that dubious distinction.

  • @tapeduk Yes sir, Dick York IS The Real Darrin Stevens.........not pasty faced obnoxious Dick Sergeant

  • I never realized how much they all drank on this show. If it wasn't at the bar, it was at home. How many episodes of "Bewitched" had a bar scene, anyway?

  • My suburban contemporary house was built in 1973 for a lawyer. It had THREE bars -- one hanging on a wall in the sunken living room, a large wet bar off the family room, and one in the basement -- an L-shaped thing complete with stools. The ability to entertain was a big selling point for upscale places, and "entertaining" ALWAYS meant booze.

  • I used to watch this when i was a little girl with my mother , now i am watching Samanta wit my girls ! I LOVE you Samanta
