That is true (not saying that 120mm smoothbore cannon is just a door knocker, which it isn't). It is because it hits where the armor is weakest; top armor.

hmm, the missle may cost more than oyu will ever make in the military - but it also keeps you alive. That approaching armor could paint those guys all ofver the walls of a brick desert hovel - but instead the Javelin stops it dead in its tracks. Money or life? I'll take life...
