BB Good ep. 19

(Hayley)

Nick was very excited. I really, had never seen him this excited. It was sorta scary...yet I found myself laughing at that goofy grin on his face. Usaully, he was calm and collected, but right now...he was excited.

He pulled me by the hand, and he sat down on one of the park benches. He had been pulling me by the hand a lot now. In fact, he had been holding my hand everytime we were together, and I was dieing to ask him what he meant by that. I kept my mouth shut.

Nick opened his mouth, and just when he was about to say to say something, his phone rang. The James Bond theme song, I and hummed the tune while he looked at the caller id.

"Hey bro. Wats-"
He has silent for a while, but I saw the grin on his face immeaditly dissapear.
"What do you mean she cheated on him?"
Again, he was silent. I looked down on the pavement, my hand was still in his and my thumb insticivly stroked his hand. He gave my hand a squeeze.
"Wait...does Kevin know?"
I heard a voice on the other line, and a female voice too. Joe and Gloria?
"Yeah, I'll be right there. Yeah..bye."
Nick hung up the phone, and smiled at me, but I could tell he was forcing himself to smile.
"What happened?" I asked, looking at him straight in the eyes.
"Sarah was cheating on Kevin, and we wouldnt be making a big deal out of this. But the thing is that her dad owns a record company, and they just signed us. That's what I was going to tell you."

My heart skipped a beat. They got signed! That was great! But Sarah...

"What are you going to do? I mean...you got signed!"

"I dont know...were gonna have to figure something out...hopefully we'll find a way to keep the label..."

I took a deep breath, and just hoped that everything was going to be ok.

Joe was very upset. He was pacing his living room over and over and over and over again...I knew better than to bother him in his thoughts. The door opened and Nick stepped in, Hayley following him. I noticed that they were both holding hands...so did Joe.

He and Nick had a conversation of eyebrow raising and cocking of heads. I smiled to Hayley, and we both headed outside. We couldnt understand their conversation even if we tried.

"What exactly is going on?" Hayley asked me.

Just then, a car pulled up and Kevin and Sarah both walked out of the car. I felt a knife being pulled through my heart as I saw Kevin's grin, laughing with Sarah at some joke we never heard. I felt horrible for ruining his day.

Sarah kissed him on the cheek, and whispred something in his ear. He nodded and walked up the porch.

"Hey Gloria! Hey Hayley! What's with the sad faces? Cheer up! It's a great day today!" He waved and walked inside. I closed my eyes,and when I opened them, Sarah was standing in front of me, her eyes slits.

"Did you tell them?" She snarled.

"Yes." I replied.

Hayley's eyes widened.
"You mean you knew?" She asked me.

I turned to her, "She told me the other day. She told me not to tell them."

Kevin opened the door, his eyes no longer merry.
"Sarah..."

And with that, Sara ran, jumped into Kevin's car, and drove off. Me and Hayley broke into a run, chasing after her. My lungs were about to explode, but I kept on running. She was going to fast, I couldnt catch her.

I finally stopped, and we all saw Kevin's car zoom off into the distance.
