@mitralara, a typical non-muslim answer, I've read it a million times here on youtube, all coming from non-muslims. Yeah let's try an disconnect him from islam cause... you know... muslims are ignorant and terrorists. There are no wise, intelligent and good muslims right?. My dear, Rumi's "poetry" is an interpretation of ONE THIRD of the Holy Qur'an. Please don't teach a muslim about Mawlānā Jalāl-ad-Dīn Muhammad, we know all about him.

In english you have one word to describe love and that's the word "love" but in other languages like Turkish you have many words like ashq and sevgi, ashq iss actually for Allah and sevgi foryour mother, brother, man, ..... because when Allah will open our heart he only wants to see love for Allah

By the way, Mevlana has written in 3 languages; persian, turkish and arabic, but I have read in his poems that the comes from the Turks and that he actually is a Turk, he has written many love poems but that's not the love we now, but it's the love for Allah.

@modibbo0607 my good friend its a poem about love, that can manifest in God or a man or a woman. Sufism sees femininity in Gods attributes too....
