........ His influences are known, 1. Sufism (the new modified version) that blossomed & came out from Iran & the Iranian culture. He mentioned many times in his poems about Attar Neishabouri's influence & one time he mentioned Sanaie, & you already know about Shams Tabrizi.

He was in his late 20s to early 30s when he moved to Konya, & already married to Gohar. Anatolia?? The Seljuks conquered Iran (Persia) when migrating westward from central Asia, & in Iran (Persia) became Iranians themselves. But Kharazmshahian were in power when his family moved westward (when he was young). ...............

Rumi was born in balkh what was part of the great seldjuk empire, but his family moved to anatolia when he was a small child. He grew up in anatolia (anatolian Seldjuk empire). His family still exists in Turkey.

Sufi poems takes a great deal of understanding and it is actually not poem as we know, rather a language that takes a certain dicipline to understand,
You have to be truth seekers in order to grasp what is being said and the best litrary words are HIS i.e ALLAH.
If you like mastery in language, then read the book who challenges humanity as a whole to produce at least a short chapter which consist of three verses like it, if in doubt. Read the Holy Quran.

Rumi lived most of its life in Seldjuk Turkey, he was a citizen of the Seldjuk empire besides Rumi was a SUNNI and not SHIA like most farsi. You should read some history before claiming him.

my beloved Rumi, his words flow like nectar from the Beloved herself admonishes: "let's rise above this animalistic behavior/and be kind to one another". he demonstrates the passage beyond all boundaries, no creed, no religion, no race, only one humanity! This is so beautifully rendered. thank you

Dear Mohi355,

I didnt deny Balkh being in Afghanistan today and do not know what you "corrected", please read what I wrote again and you will see (and nor did I deny Afghanistan's existence).

My comments were based on historic facts.

And furthermore, I wish the people & countries of Afghanistan, Turkey (and other people and countries) the best. God bless & peace.
