malkmus was a blaster, if he would have played with others at his level he would have been even better. it may have made him care. he clearly did not enjoy singing but wrote such interesting lyrics (which would suggest that he enjoyed that part) that it probably made him go through with the chore

this is what i call ultra slacker funk. sm is really good at nailing those pavement-y riffs regardless of tuning.

@vanisherg well thats usualy how old pavement songs are performed. they usualy goof around without tryin the same way they do in studio. you should listen to stereo on the conan obrian show

I'll never get over this band- this is one of their best songs....
Malkmus is a genius and he couldnt care less- he's playing with a bouncy ball during a concert!!
