Toshiba BTH110 Boring Mill High Speed Roughing High Hard P20.avi

Toshiba BTH110.R18 high speed roughing in High Hard P20. Customer is also achieving same results in stainless steel. Cutting in production plastic molds at 250-350 ipm achieving approximately 50 cubic inch per minute removal rates, using CNC SHAPE function with LAN linkage to put the entire program on the machine controller. Don't know the cutter, but it's a better one, not top shelf, but middle of the road type cutter and insert.

100 hours would be 5,000 cubic inches of material...not sure if it was that much or not, didn't stay for completetion....all I know is that we're doing this operation twice as fast as can typically be done on a typical boring mill or heavy roughing machine (parpas BF160 or Pratt & Whitney type machine)

thats sweet machining also pretty cool seeing that much mass moving around like that too

how long did that take to complete must be 100-140 hrs in machining
