Life is fucking amazing without religion. After seeing all this religion bull crap and all these people wasting their time believing a story that's obviously been changed a billion times throughout all these years, it makes me happy to be living without religion.

And even though the "hell" you're talking about that I'm going to is real, I would be perfectly fine going there and not in heaven with all you insane, sick creatures.

There is only ONE religion I'm in,and that is the Church Of The Latter Day Yukkuris.It is unique among religions because there are no deities or codes to follow.

Life without any sort of hope to continue living will be dreadful, why? because many will not care about killing one another for possessions. I there were no religion Selling Drugs, Prostitution, killing, raping, stealing etc, Never come to an end. Religion or God to be specific will end all of that?.

@XYManx28 What if you're wrong about Ra, Zeus, Thor, King Kai, the Spagghetti Monster, Mormonism, and all of the other thousands of religions in the world. You would have spent 80 years worshiping the wrong god (Allah) and would go to hell. The chances you would go to hell are very large given the amount of gods people have made up.

If God doesn't exist and you decide to focus on your 80, lets say, years of your life, you die happy.

But what IF God is really real, then you would have spent a happy 80 years, with a miserable eternity.

I'm just presenting options here, either you decide to live your life happy without the religious pressure, or live it happy with the religious pressure and gain an eternity of utmost happiness

Religion doesn't have to take happiness out of a life, it should embrace it.

To be honest as an atheist I'm slightly torn. You know that all the people in real positions of power in religious circles are all atheists just like us. So is it a benefit to us atheists that there are so many laity that actually believe? Everyone currently in power looks at the religious laity and sees an opportunity. Ralph Reed is probably my hero - they are there to make a lot of money from the human disposition to feeling hope. And there's no morality against it since god doesn't exist.

I identify as an atheist not because I "Hate God" or anything like that, but because the teachings of every major (and less widespread) religion can leave people with good take home messages, even if you leave out the mysticism and unable-to-be-proven accounts and events.

I don't believe in a God because there are so many good ones out there, as their stories are told and understood, how could I justify picking a single one of them?
