I agree, she definitely deserved Olympic gold but she didn't skate her best that night and Arakawa did deserve the gold. But Irina's career isn't marred or lessened because she didn't win Olympic Gold. What she was able to do and how she came back is something few have been able to do to that extent, that's worth 10 Olympic Gold

I completely agree, she didn't skate her best in Torino, but what she's done is more than most athletes can do with all she's overcome, she is a true champion. There's more than just Olympic gold and her career isn't any less because she didn't get Olympic Gold.
